Station 64 (White Valley VFD) was dispatched by Westmoreland 911 at 11:06 AM for a Motor Vehicle Accident with entrapment at the intersection of William Penn Highway and Harrison City Rd. within Station 64's district. Chief 22 was first on scene and established command giving Westmoreland 911 a size-up of the scene. Chief 22 confirmed entrapment in one vehicles along with injuries of patients. Sergeant 64-1 then arrived on scene and assisted Chief 22 and arriving Medics with patient contact. Rescue 64 went enroute with (7) firefighters on board. Upon arrival Chief 64 then took Command of the scene and crews from Rescue 64 began to work on extricating the patient that was trapped in the vehicle. Crews worked to remove the door and the B-post of the vehicle. Once crews made access to the patient, they began treating the patient and prepping them for extrication. Once the patient was extricated from the vehicle Murrysville Medic One transported the patient to a local trauma center. Fire personnel on scene from Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) and Station 87 (Harrison City VFC) assisted with extrication and clean up of the highway. Once both vehicles were removed from the scene all apparatuses and personnel were cleared and returned in service.
