Motor Vehicle Accident with Entrapment - Route 22/Route 819

Station 64 (White Valley VFD) was dispatched by Westmoreland 911 at 10:10 PM for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) with Entrapment within Station 90's (Forbes Road VFD's) district. Command 90 arrived on scene and took command. Command 90 reported confirmed entrapment and that the accident had been a head on collision. Rescue 64 went enroute with (6) firefighters on board and Service 64 with (1) firefighter on board. On arrival, crews from Station 64 assisted with traffic control slowing down drivers as they entered the intersection along with blocking the fast lane and left hand turning lane. Once the patient was extricated and transported to a local trauma center. Command 90 released Rescue 64, but kept Service 64 for further traffic detail. Once the vehicles were removed from the roadway, Command 90 cleared all apparatuses and firefighters from the scene.

Other responding companies were: Station 30 (Delmont VFD), Station 59 (Slickville VFD), Mutual Aid Ambulance Service, and Pennsylvania State Police
